As a leader in civics, one of the key themes Luke prioritizes in his projects is innovation, finding a unique array of ways to better inform and improve the world. Across the fields of journalism with Scholastic Kids Press, curation with the Beinecke Library and oration through public speaking, Luke seeks to understand how history plays a part from each angle of society in an effort to bridge the past and present.
Ground-Breaking Author
A prolific writer from his youth, Luke brought his passions for history to action in his biography on the 39th President, Jimmy Carter: From the Peanut Life To The Presidency. Publishing the book at the age of nine, he challenged the criteria of who can become a leader in the realm of civics. Luke is pushing to expand his series to cover more presidents across an even wider variety of eras and perspectives.
